Skyler and I went out to Camp Mohawk to take her senior pictures. We had a great time. Her session ended up shorter than we'd planned due to a storm that rolled in really quickly. Her pictures still turned out gorgeous though!
Isn't she beautiful? Leave a comment and show some love!

TJ {Manvel High School}
TJ is a junior at Manvel High School. I had a great time catching up with him and his mom. His mom was my mentor way back when I first started teaching. I remember TJ running around in his mom's classroom when he was just starting Kindergarten. Needless to say, he is all grown up now. We were able to get some great images including some of him and his bow. And I'd like to also congratulate him on being accepted into the National Honor Society!

Randal and Kirby's Engagement Session :: Houston Area Wedding Photographer
I have been waiting for this session for a long time and I was so excited about it! The of course, right before the session, out of nowhere...RAIN! We seriously didn't know if we were going to be able to make the session work. But minutes before it was time to shoot, the rain stopped. Of course, if you know anything about Texas in the summer time, you know that the little bit of rain we got just made everything hotter and more steamy. But, it worked!
Randal is my brother-in-law and I am so excited for him and Kirby. I can't wait for the wedding!

Happy 10th Anniversary! :: Family Photographer :: Houston Area Photographer
I love it when a session goes perfectly. Perfect lighting. Perfect location. Perfect couple.
This was one of those sessions.
It's sooooo hard to choose the best images to present. I always end up with way more than I should. Such a horrible problem, I know! :-)
Athena and Khalid are celebrating their tenth anniversary. The really neat part is that Athena had her bridal portraits taken 10 years to the day of this session. How awesome is that!
Best wishes for another 10 years... and another... and another! Enjoy!
Congratulations!

MacFarland Twins :: Newborn Photographer :: Houston Area
Ok. I'm going to be doing a little catch up for the next couple of weeks. So if you had a session with me be looking for it on my blog.
I had mentioned in an earlier post that I had never done a twin newborn session until recently. Well, these were the first set of twins I ever had the privilege of having a session with. Aren't they beautiful?
They were born early so by the time they came home and I got to take their pictures, they were two months old. And although they were still little, they were very aware of me taking their pictures and very interested in what was going on.
But,oh my goodness! How cute are these smiles?
There is nothing better than a smiling, happy baby!
Equally precious is a sleeping baby! Especially both at the same time!
Such a beautiful family! Congratulations, and I can't wait to watch these cuties grow!

Senior Reps :: Houston Area Photographer :: Christy White Photography
Senior Reps? What is a senior rep and what do they do? Well, let me tell you!
Being a senior rep for Christy White Photography is an awesome way to accomplish several things.
Senior Rep sessions are longer than the normal senior sessions. They allow for multiple outfit and location changes. Senior reps get the model treatment. You represent Christy White Photography your senior year. That means your face will be featured for all your friends and family to see on Facebook, on our website and in our blog! Modeling opportunity anyone??
Senior Reps are given digital images from their session to use on their social media sites. You can show off your session to your friends!
Senior Reps are given their own personal app for their phone with their session on it! How cool is that? Your whole session on your phone!
Senior Reps can earn FREE prints and products just by telling their friends about Christy White Photography! If they choose to have us do their senior pictures, even better for you!
Senior Reps earn money for every one of their friends who books a session with us. That includes not only senior sessions, but ANY kind of session!
And Senior Reps are given a discount on any prints and products they buy!
So you're thinking, 'All that sounds great, but what do I have to do?'
Being a Senior Rep is super easy.
First, you have to let Christy White Photography know you're interested. We use reps from Alvin High School, Manvel High School, Danbury High School, Angleton High School, Friendswood Area High Schools, and Pearland Area High Schools.
Then, if you are selected as a rep, you will have a FREE session! That;s right. The WHOLE SESSION is free - multiple outfits and multiple locations.
Once your session is over, you and your family will have a personal viewing session. We will look over all your images and you can pick your favorites.
After your viewing session, your job is easy. You simply give your friends your rep cards featuring your picture and class info and show them your session on your phone. Which you would do anyway, right?
Aside from that, you just have to make sure that you tell people about Christy White Photography and have your pictures up on your social media sites.
Then, for everyone who uses Christy White Photography, you earn money, products and prints.
So if you are interested, let us know. Senior Rep Sessions are done in July, and some schools are already filled or partially filled!

Peas in a Pod :: Houston Area Newborn Photographer :: Christy White Photography
I have a secret to tell you...until recently, I had never had a twin newborn session.
Nope.
Never.
Well, let me just say, the month of April took care of that! I had 2 twin sessions within just a couple of weeks.
And they were so much fun.
This is little Miss Grace and Mr. Luke. They were just under two weeks old when we did their session. Their momma had so many fantastic accessories picked out for them! Aren't they cute?
And can you believe they were both over 6lbs when they were born!
Precious aren't they? Now I have to work on planning my NEXT twin session I have next weekend! So excited!

The Time has Come...
"I am not going back to teaching in the Fall. I am going to be a full-time photographer."
I'll be honest. I keep repeating these two sentences over and over in my head. Every time I do, I feel a strange mixture of excitement and all-out fear.
I have to say, I wasn't sure that I'd ever really be here. This is a HUGE jump. After all, I'm walking away from something that is so reliable and secure. But, I think I am ready. After being a full-time educator for the past 17 or so years, I am finally going to be a full-time photographer! I am so excited! (And scared, but that's a good thing, right?)
There are so many reasons why this is such a great change for me. Lucky for you, I'm only going to tell you my top 5!
Reason Number 5:
I can FINALLY, finally, make a day in my schedule to post all my sessions to my Blog! I love to write. Honestly, it's one of my other huge passions right after photography. However, when I was teaching full-time, it was a choice between editing the pictures or writing about them. And well, people do tend to want their prints! So, please, follow this Blog! I promise,I'll keep up with it!
Reason Number 4:
I can do newborn sessions in the morning! AND during the week! I am so excited to be able to send my babies off to school and come take pictures of your baby! There is nothing better than soft morning light and a sleepy newborn! I mean who wouldn't look forward to this!
Reason Number 3:
I can go location scouting! On my own! Or maybe...with a friend! As much as I love my three children, taking them to look for new locations is, well, not much fun sometimes. It ranks somewhere between grocery shopping and getting the oil changed. To give my kids credit, they are usually pretty good at the first couple of places I stop to look at. They will let me take their pictures, and they will pose for me. But inevitably, the bickering starts. Then, the restroom break requests. Then they are thirsty. Then hungry. Then they want to know how much longer. Then...I give up and we go home!
Reason Number 2:
Stylized sessions! And modeling! I am so excited about these two things. I am teaming up with some great people (more about who later in a future blog post)to do some great sessions. Just a hint at what is in the works... A full-scale teen modeling session. This will feature several locations and will really highlight where I'm wanting to go with my senior photography sessions. Also, I am putting together a 20's Pin-up Glamour/Boudoir Session. This is going to be so much fun! Think great hotel and hair and make-up artists! I am super excited about this last session. It's something completely different, and I can't wait. I am shooting a Victorian Steam Punk Session. If you don't know what that is, think Victorian meets industrial. I can't wait to finish putting all these great sessions together!
Reason Number 1:
This is a personal reason, but so important to me. I will have more time for my family. So much of my photography work has had to be completed in the evenings or on weekends. My house right now is a mess. I am so looking forward to getting organized. The fact that I can edit and still do laundry...Huge! Working from home is going to be so great. School is out in two weeks. I can't wait for this new phase of my life to begin!
Be sure to show some love and leave a comment for me! And, if you'd like to follow this crazy journey I've set out on, please follow my Blog! It's not just going to be about photography, but the lives behind it. My clients and mine!
